The Editor Adventurers

Editing a journal can be an exciting endeavor; the patience and thoughtful close attention that editing requires do have their rewards. During my fifteen years with Resources for American Literary Study, I have found scouting conference papers, reading and working with remarkable submissions, and developing a new scholarly resource to be thoroughly engaging and satisfying activities. And it is good to know that the published work contributes not only to the field but also to the reputation of each author.
